ABOUT ME

Welcome. I’m Monika, a 22-year-old girl living in the middle of Norway. I work as a designer at GV Reklame in Verdal, and finished 2 years as a Graphic Design student at Noroff Insitute in March 2018.

I have always enjoyed art. Growing up I used a lot of my time drawing, painting, and coming up with new ideas. I always had a project going on. So in Upper Secondary School, I did General Subjects with Art & Design, which not only taught me more about art, but also made me find a love for photography.

I made my way to Australia for the next year in 2015. At the University of Wollongong I studied photography, journalism, contemporary drawing, creative writing, and psychology. So I got input from many fields – and eventually found an interest in digital drawing, which has since become one of my main hobbies.

Coming back to Norway in early February 2016, it was time to move on, and so I applied for Graphic Design at Noroff. As an online student there I learnt a lot about photography, designing logos, posters and other visual elements, as well as web design and some animation – eventually allowing me to enter the design business and landing the dream job before even finishing my studies.

The plan for September 2018 is to finish my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at Teesside University in Middlesbrough.

Stay creative,
Monika
